Sowmya Rajasekaran

Sowmya Rajasekaran comes with 10+ years’ experience working in Community Development, Education, Skills Development, Partnership development & Social Impact. In every organization she has been involved with or programs she has led, it has always been her first nature to look through the Diversity & Inclusion lens.  

Sowmya loves building projects from ideation and doesn't fear from taking on a challenge. Not only does Sowmya hold a keen passion in diversity & inclusion, she also strives to focus on impact measurement.  

After being laid off during the pandemic, Sowmya launched #Buildupwomen Series. #Buildupwomen Series is an online community created to inspire, share, support, engage and build up women during and post COVID-19. The first season had 10 live series discussions, with over 30+ inspiring female disruptors, change-makers, influencers, advocates & community leaders across Canada with a core focus on diversity & inclusion. 

She has a history of establishing and designing strategic partnerships in not-for- profit and private sectors. She is a champion for constructing and establishing innovative and inspiring atmosphere to help improve social impact.
